Chula – Management of Social Transformation on Rural Sustainability

Introduction

The first MOST school in Thailand will be organized back to back with the  International Conference on Social and Sustainability Science in ASEAN 2018 on Agri-Food Systems, Rural Sustainability, and Socio-Economic Transformation in South-east Asia” – A Multi-disciplinary Research Initiative, contributing to the ASEAN WORK PLAN on EDUCATION (AWPE), 2016-2020 and United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), 2015-2030 to be held at Chulalongkorn University (call for paper).

The participants of MOST school will attend the international conference from 23-25 January 2018 then join academic and capacity building session together with a field trip from 26-28 January 2018.

Type of Event: Category 7- seminar and fieldtrip.  This MOST School on Rural Transformation is a partnership between the Thailand MOST National Liaison Committee, UNESCO, ​Social Research Institute and Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies, Chulalongkorn University.

Who should attend: Junior researchers, graduate and post-graduate students, junior government officers involving in planning and implementation, activists and members of civil society groups.  Main working language will be English.  Applicants should send their CV along with concise two-page letter of motivation stating research focus or work focus and future plan relating to sustainability issues to hnarumon@chula.ac.th and k_usa21@yahoo.com by January 24, 2018.  Successful applicants will be notified by email on the following day after application.
